Why do I need to prove my source of funds?

Q: Why is Doto asking me to prove my source of funds?
A: Doto is required by regulatory authorities to verify that the money you deposit with us is coming from a legitimate source. This is a standard practice to ensure compliance with anti-money laundering laws, and has the added benefit of protecting all our users.

Q: When do I need to provide documents proving my source of funds?
A: We typically request these documents when you make a deposit of$10,000 or more, or if all your deposits together equal $10,000 or more. In some cases, we may also ask for these documents from you for deposits of $2,000 or more.

Q: What documents does Doto require?
A: Here is the full list of documents we accept for proving the source of your funds. Note that we probably won't ask you for all of them --just the ones that are relevant to the financial status you declared whenyou signed up to Doto.

Option 3:

  • Your profit/loss statements proving your monthly or annualincome

Inheritance

  • A copy of the last will and testament of the deceased
  • A signed letter from the executor of the will or the will's lawyer, or a grant of probate

Donation, gift or grant

(Students receiving an allowance need to choose this option)

Option 1:

  • A donation, gift or grant agreement for real estate or otherassets
  • A bank statement showing the deposit of the donation, giftor grant (if applicable)

Option 2:

  • A signed affidavit or letter from the donor declaring thenature of the donation, gift or grant
  • A bank statement showing the deposit of the donation, giftor grant (if applicable)

Mortgages and loans

  • A mortgage or loan contract showing the borrowed amount andits repayment plan
  • A bank statement showing a loan deposit into your account

Company profits (shares and dividends)

Option 1:

  • Latest dividend statements
  • A recent bank statement showing dividend payments

Option 2:

  • Latest audited company accounts

Financial investment

Option 1:

  • A statement proving your investments (e.g, CFDs, shares,bonds or mutual fund statements).
  • A bank statement showing the settlement from your investmentprovider

Option 2:

  • Other statements or documents proving investment profit(from CFDs, stocks, etc.)
  • A bank statement showing the settlement from your investmentprovider

Q: How do I submit my documents?
A: If you need to prove your source of funds for a deposit you want to make on Doto, our support team will email you. You can submit your documents in a reply to that email, which is support-mu@doto.com. Once the source of your funds is verified, your Doto account's trading permissions will be enabled.

Q: What if I don't provide the documents?
A: If you are unable to prove where your funds come from, your Dotoaccount's trading permissions will be disabled, meaning you won't be able to open any new trades. If we don't hear from you for seven business days after the date you requested a deposit, your trading account will be term inatedand the funds in your trading balance will be returned to the account they were sent from.
